Jam Cruise organizers continue to unveil professionally-shot video from this past January’s trip and the latest clip shared is Dumpstaphunk‘s version of “Don’t Do It” played January 6 on the Pool Deck. Dumpstaphunk was joined by vocalist Amy Helm, guitarist Cris Jacobs and The Steeltown Horns for their take on a song that was originally recorded by Marvin Gaye and was a staple of The Band’s live performances.

Amy Helm represented her father, late The Band drummer Levon Helm, extremely well as she backed Dumpstaphunk bassist Tony Hall on vocals. Jacobs also contributed harmony vocals and a scorching guitar solo, while the horns played the arrangement first composed by Allen Toussaint for The Band’s Rock Of Ages concerts.
