Jam Cruise organizers continue to unveil professionally-shot video from this past January’s trip and the latest clip shared is Dr. John‘s version of “Iko Iko” played January 8 on the Pool Deck. Dr. John’s Pool Deck set was a highlight of the trip as he strung together a masterful performance filled with many of his most beloved songs and choice covers under the stars in the middle of the ocean.

“Iko Iko” was first released in 1953 and has become synonymous with the New Orleans sound. The “Iko Iko” Dr. John & The Nite Trippers served up aboard Jam Cruise not only showcased the good doctor but also his phenomenal backing band of young ace musicians including trombonist Sarah Morrow.
