Guitarist Dan Auerbach recently completed a tour backed by The Easy Eye Sound Revue featuring some of the musicians from his Easy Eye Sound label. Auerbach brought members of his backing band to the studios of Seattle radio station KEXP on February 12 to perform five songs.
Dan Auerbach and The Easy Eye Sound Revue began the set with “Waiting On A Song,” the title track from the Black Keys’ frontman’s 2017 solo album. Next, Auerbach and members of his ensemble performed “Never In My Wildest Dreams” off Waiting On A Song. Host Cheryl Waters then chatted with Dan about the work that went into the album and his tour.
The guitarist continued on by leading a take on the unreleased track “Trouble Waits For You.” Bluesman Robert Finley then emerged for “Medicine Woman” and “Get It While You Can.” Finley put out studio versions of both songs on 2017’s Goin’ Platinum, which was issued on Easy Eye Sound.
