By Andy Kahn Oct 24, 2017 • 10:26 am PDT

Conor Oberst recently stopped by Seattle independent radio station KEXP to record a live in-studio session. The singer-songwriter led his band through a four song set featuring tracks from the recently issued studio album Salutations.
Host Troy Nelson welcomed Oberst to KEXP’s relatively new space back on September 2. The multi-instrumentalist was in town to perform at the nearby Bumbershoot Music Festival. Accompanied by James Felice on accordion and Josh Rawson on violin, Oberst worked up renditions of the Salutations tracks “Barbary Coast (Later),” “Afterthought,” “Mamah Borthwick (A Sketch)” and “Till St. Dymphna Kicks Us Out.”
