Pro-Shot Video: Aqueous Jams ‘Skyway’ Into Ween Cover At Tyrone Farm

Up-and-coming groove rock band Aqueous continue to build a faithful following through their road warrior ways and smart festival bookings. It doesn’t hurt that the band is very creative with its choice of covers and have played sets honoring the likes of moe., The Allman Brothers Band and Red Hot Chili Peppers. A video created and shared by videographer MK Devo displays the band’s songwriting and improvisational skills with a Ween cover thrown in for good measure.
The video below, which was filmed on Sunday at Connecticut’s Tyrone Farm, starts with the quartet working through an original staple of their live shows: “Skyway.” Aqueous debuted the rocking tune back in 2012 and have played it over 200 times since. You get a feel for how tight the foursome is and their propensity to jam. Like most good jam bands, Aqueous’s explorations are all over the place. After two raging climaxes, the band brings “Skyway” to a close and immediately starts up their rendition of “The Grobe” by Ween. Aqueous has only been covering “The Grobe” since July, but they nail the feel and verve of Gener & Deaner’s tune from 2000’s White Pepper.
