This past Friday night, Chicago sextet Umphrey’s McGee returned to the Fox Theater in Oakland as part of their coast-to-coast tour with TAUK. Today, UM has shared professionally-shot video of one of three songs performed in Oakland with guitarists Jake Cinninger and Brendan Bayliss on acoustics.

Umphrey’s McGee debuted “Susanah” back on January 31, 2011 at NYC’s Brooklyn Bowl. The genesis of the song dates back to Bayliss’s 30db project with Jeff Austin. A studio version of “Susanah” appears on 30db’s 2010 studio album, One Man Show. On Friday, UM performed the tune for just the sixth time since 2011 and first since July 25, 2014 – a span of 161 shows. “Susanah” came as part of a three-song sequence in the first set that also included “Bron-Yr-Aur” and “Gone For Good.”
