Pro-Shot: Railroad Earth Covers ‘Peggy-O’ At Strings & Sol 2015

New Jersey jamgrass act Railroad Earth were one of the performers at the 2015 installment of Strings & Sol which took place at the Now Sapphire Resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico December 10 – 14. Today, Strings & Sol has shared a professionally-shot video from one of Railroad Earth’s sets at the destination event.

In the video below we see Railroad Earth’s gorgeous cover of the traditional “Peggy-O,” a song that was part of the Grateful Dead’s repertoire. RRE debuted their take on “Peggy-O” in New Jersey on New Year’s Eve ’07 – ’08 and have since performed the tune about a dozen times. Take a look at the Strings & Sol version:

Strings & Sol ’15 also featured Greensky Bluegrass, the Sam Bush Band, Fruition, Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon and Larry Keel in addition to Yonder Mountain String Band. Railroad Earth play a pair of rescheduled performances at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver on Friday and Saturday nights.
