Pro-Shot: Phish Shares The MSG Tweezer

The final night of the recently completed Phish four-night New Year’s Run at Madison Square Garden in New York City was highlighted by an insane 22-minute “Tweezer” as part of the second set. Today, the foursome has released professionally-shot footage of THE MSG “Tweezer.”
Phish explored plenty of ground during “Tweezer,” but the top moment of the improvisational highlight of the run came around the 12-minute mark when the group connected on a blissful major-key chord sequence. Guitarist Trey Anastasio laid the groundwork with chunky rhythms before he led his mates in building towards a powerful climax. The band worked over the chord structure for seven minutes to the delight of the capacity crowd. The masterful peak sounded straight out of “Tweezer Reprise” with a blissful twist. Take a look:
