Pro-Shot: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Summer Camp Sessions

Last May, Grateful Dead tribute act Joe Russo’s Almost Dead made their Summer Camp Music Festival debut at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois. Today, the festival’s organizers have shared professionally-shot video from JRAD’s set as the latest installment of the Summer Camp Sessions series.

In the video below, we see the five-piece consisting of drummer Joe Russo, keyboardist Marco Benevento, bassist Dave Dreiwitz and guitarists Tom Hamilton and Scott Metzger rage through “Help On The Way” and “Slipknot!” at Summer Camp on May 23, 2015. The clip was directed by Jay Blakesberg and edited by AJ Feigl. Take a look:

Summer Camp ’16 will take place at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois May 27 – 29 featuring three days of Umphrey’s McGee and moe. as well as Mudcrutch, Big GrizMatik, STS9, The Roots, Jason Isbell, Thievery Corporation, Greensky Bluegrass, Keller Williams, Lettuce and dozens more.
