This past Friday, Jack White celebrated the release of his new album Boarding House Reach at the intimate confines of Warsaw in Brooklyn. Live Nation provided a free webcast of the entire concert which can be viewed below.
Jack’s performance in New York City was one of the first to feature his new touring band. The group finds White backed by Carla Azar on drums, Quincy McCrary and Neal Evans on keys and Dominic Davis on bass. Friday’s concert saw White & Co. open with “Over And Over And Over” off Boarding House Reach. The band performed most of the songs from the LP including live debuts of “Get In The Mind Shaft” and “Would You Fight For My Love?”
White fit material from throughout his career into the 27-song performance with songs from Boarding House Reach. The White Stripes’ catalog was represented by “Dead Leaves & The Dirty Ground,” “Cannon,” “I’m Slowly Turning Into You,” “Hello Operator,” “We’re Going To Be Friends,” “Black Math” and “Ball & Biscuit.” Jack and his band also pulled “I Cut Like A Buffalo” from The Dead Weather along with Raconteurs tracks “Carolina Drama” and “Broken Boy Soldier.”
