As has become custom on Fridays, British rockers Radiohead has shared professionally-shot video of a festival set. This week’s selection is the band’s September 11, 2016 set at Lollapalooza Berlin.
All 2016 Radiohead performances were heavy on cuts from A Moon Shaped Pool and Lollapalooza Berlin was no exception. The band played five songs from the LP to open the set: “Burn The Witch,” “Daydreaming,” “Decks Dark,” “Desert Island Disk” and “Ful Stop.” Other A Moon Shaped Pool tracks performed at the second installment of Lollapalooza Berlin were “Identikit,” “The Numbers” and “Present Tense.”
Radiohead continued on after the five recent cuts with Hail To The Thief’s “2 + 2 = 5.” The King Of Limbs was then represented by “Lotus Flower” and later “Bloom.” Frontman Thom Yorke and his band also fit favorites “Everything In Its Right Place,” “Idioteque,” “Bodysnatchers” and “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” within the 17-song main set.
When Radiohead returned for the encore, they began with “Let Down” off OK Computer ahead of “Present Tense” from A Moon Shaped Pool. The group ended the first encore with a run of “Paranoid Android,” “Nude” and “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi.” Yorke & Co. said farewell with two of their biggest hits: “Creep” and “Karma Police.”
