Colorado’s own Pretty Lights has announced a two-night stand at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on August 8 and 9. Pretty Lights will be joined by The Analog Future Band as well as 13 members of the Colorado Symphony and other “special guests.”

A pre-sale for tickets begins April 23 at 10 a.m. MT and will be followed by the general on-sale on April 25 at 10 a.m. MT. Pretty Lights mastermind Derek Vincent Smith shared the following about his return to Red Rocks:

I’m psyched to be performing at CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre again in 2014 for two nights! My crew and I have never been more motivated and inspired to put on the best Pretty Lights show ever. Over the course of both nights all PL styles – new and old – will be explored and evolved alongside The Analog Future Band, 13 members of the Colorado Symphony and other special guests. New life will be brought into the new music I’ve been working on and my older work via remixing, via the live band, and via the sounds of live symphonic composition in the most acoustically beautiful venue anywhere.

Red Rocks is such a powerful and beautiful place. I have gained a profound respect for the honor that it is to perform there. Thank you Colorado and Red Rocks… you never fall short on the inspiration and motivation to do something truly creative, original, and beautiful! See you on August 8th and 9th!
