POST STS9 IN BOULDER
By Team JamBase Mar 4, 2007 • 12:00 am PST

There is an undeniably innate and virtually universal desire amongst our culture to be entertained straight through the early morning hours. Euphonic Conceptions, LLC formed in late 2006 as a natural evolution of this burning collective need to continue raging past the rise of the morning sun.
This March, the fledgling corporation is set to throw two Euphonic late nights in the span of three days – each scheduled to continue well past dawn. The shows are being planned as after-hours events for two nights of STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector Nine)‘s upcoming five night stand at the Boulder Theater.
Both of these events will be zero carbon emissions, thanks to Boulder-based Clean & Green, who will be offsetting the electricity used at the shows with wind power credits.
POST STS9 RE:CREATION AT TRILOGY
The first of these two blockbuster events will be on Tuesday, March 13, at the Trilogy Lounge, virtually across the street from the Boulder Theater.
Boulder-based MFA: Loop Lab will be opening things up at midnight, utilizing innovative looping technology to create spontaneous layers of completely improvised electronic music.
Utterly lovable and widely acclaimed Brooklyn-born groovemaster Eliot Lipp will then induce head-nods and hip-grinding with an eclectic layering of samples, dope-ass beats, and crazy busted-sounding keys.
Oregon-based Bluetech will then generate his unique and primordial electro-dub alchemy of exquisite melody and downtempo. One of the most ingenious producers today, he will be merging genres and splitting heads until 4 a.m.
Ana Sia, infamous Mob Bosstress of the Glitch Mob, will close the evening out in the early morning hours with her signature glitched out, sexed up, and basically krunk strip-hop.
J Garcia and Kris D will both be painting live throughout the evening.
This event is 21+, and the bar will be open until 2 a.m. Tickets are $20. There are only 100 tickets available to this event, and they are on sale now through In Ticketing.
POST STS9 RE:CREATION AT THE ROOT
After a day off on Wednesday, Euphonic Conceptions will be blowing Boulder up to even larger proportions on Thursday, March 15 with RE:CREATION AT THE ROOT, at The Root on the Hill.
Starting the evening off early for those shut out of the Boulder Theater, the high energy group Control will be fusing live instrumentation and sample based production into a performance that pushes the limits of drum & bass and hip-hop.
The Chicago-based trio Future Rock will then hit the stage at midnight. Future Rock’s combination of synthesized organic instruments, electronic sensibility and sophisticated songwriting is a contagious mix that has been creating a buzz throughout the scene.
International players Alex Botwin and Lane Shaw of the Pnuma Trio will then celebrate their upcoming move to Colorado with an epic debut of brand new Pnuma Duo experimental live PA material. Their infectious flow promises to excavate skulls and stimulate the dancefloor. Their set will also be featuring Ryan Burnett of Signal Path, who will perform as Ezekial.
Come 3:00 a.m, The Glitch Mob Invasion will be hitting Boulder with the intensity and power of a Hawaiian tsunami. edIT, Boreta, and Ooah of the Glitch Mob will proceed to unleash an unmitigated maelstrom of mashed-up funk, collectively melting faces for hours with a rhythmic tidal wave of glitched-out freakiness.
J Garcia and Kris D will also be painting throughout the evening.
Tickets will be $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. Music will go until at least 6 a.m. No alcohol will be served – this event is for ages 18 and older.
Tickets for The Root show are no sale now at In Ticketing.
A “combo pass,” for both this show and the Tuesday Trilogy show, is available for $35. This combo pass and individual tickets to both events can be purchased through In Ticketing.
