Record Store Day picked Post Malone as their 2025 ambassador. The event returns for its 18th year at independent record stores across the globe on April 12.
“What an honor, I can’t believe I was chosen to be Record Store Day’s Ambassador for 2025. Record Store Day is so important and I really hope to do my part to keep it alive,” wrote Posty in a statement. “We love hitting local shops when we’re on the road, seeing all the crazy artwork, the whole energy in a record store is just super inspiring. I feel at home.”
“It’s really an unexplainable feeling to hit up a shop and dig through crates, just see what grabs your eye,” added Malone. “You can be looking for something super specific and end up finding something totally different. It’s the best. Keep supporting y’all and let’s keep records and these local shops going strong. Happy Record Store Day everybody!”

Past Record Store Day Ambassadors have included Taylor Swift, Metallica, St. Vincent, Brandi Carlile and Paramore. A full list of Record Store Day exclusive releases as well as activities and events will be announced in the weeks to come. Ambassadors traditionally put out a limited edition release on Record Store Day.
“I’m very excited about Ambassador ‘Posty’”, added Record Store Day co-founder Carrie Colliton in a statement. “Musically, he’s all over the place — just like record stores and their customers, especially some of the newest, youngest people to embrace their local brick-and-mortar spaces.”
Post Malone issued his massively successful F-1 Trillion studio album last August. The 18-track LP scored Malone a Grammy nomination for “Best Country Album,” while the album’s lead single “I Had Some Help” earned noms for “Best Country Song” and “Best Country Duo/Group Performance.”
In April, Post Malone will embark on his biggest headlining tour yet. Post Malone Presents: The Big Ass Stadium Tour will hit 25 stadiums across North America through July.
