Porno For Pyros Reunite For Lolla2020 Livestream

Porno for Pyros reunited to perform as part of the Lolla2020 livestream virtual event. The four-night mix of archival Lolla sets and new performances began yesterday to coincide with the dates of this year’s canceled event, which was shut down due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

Frontman and Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell spoke to Matt Pinfield from MTV’s 120 Minutes about the early days of Porno For Pyros. Accompanied by his wife, Etty Farrell, Perry Farrell also spoke to Pinfield about the influence of his other band, Jane’s Addiction. The interview was followed by an acoustic performance by Porno For Pyros of their hit “Pets” as well as “Kimberly Austin.”

Joining Perry Farrell on the pair of songs were mask-wearing Porno For Pyros’ guitarist Peter DiStefano and drummer Stephen Perkins, along with Minutemen/fIREHOSE bassist Mike Watt, who has filled in with the band before.
