Pond Releases New Single ‘Pink Lunettes’

Pond released a new single, “Pink Lunettes,” through Spinning Top Records / Secretly Distribution. The track is the Australian psych-rock outfit’s first new music since the release of their March 2019 album, Tasmania.
The current lineup of Pond features Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, Joe Ryan, Jamie Terry and James Ireland. The new song from the Freemantle five-piece is “a five minute, high energy speed mantra, a lock-jawed no-wave groove that shudders between analogue synths, drums, drum machines and yelped lyrics that read like a duct taped mosaic of an art school dropouts’ shredded textbook,” as per a press release.

“I think we managed to jitter along the neon tightrope between totally unhinged, strobing spontaneity and focused forward momentum,” frontman Nick Allbrook added about the new tune.
