Polyrhythmics Perform ‘Dragon Lotion’ For MyMusicRx
By Scott Bernstein Jun 20, 2018 • 12:29 pm PDT

Seattle-based Afrobeat act Polyrhythmics recorded a stripped-down version of “Dragon Lotion” backstage at last month’s Sasquatch! Music Festival for MyMusicRx. The performance comes as part of Bedstock, an online music festival that aims to raise awareness of MyMusicRx’s mission of delivering the healing power of music to hospitalized kids across the country.
Polyrhythmics went acoustic besides the use of a bass amp and a toy keyboard for the performance of “Dragon Lotion” below. Guitarist Ben Bloom introduced the song and replicated some of the drum beats vocally. The eight-piece simulated playing from bed by setting up a tent and scattering blankets and pillows around in order to keep with the tradition of Bedstock. Polyrhythmics originally recorded “Dragon Lotion” for their 2017 album Caldera.
