Pigeons Playing Ping Pong returned to Philadelphia last month for a “Free At Noon” Live Session at World Cafe. Highlights from the hour-long performance aired Wednesday on NPR/WXPN’s World Cafe series, which was premiered along with a video that can be viewed below.

The Baltimore-based quartet treated Philly fans to new tunes, material from their 2025 album Feed The Fire and live staples. PPPP’s World Cafe radio show broadcast began with performances of the uplifting “Right Track” and psych-laden instrumental “Twitch.” Both songs are featured on Feed The Fire.

“Let’s take this warm happy feeling and go out in the world and do something positive with it,” guitarist Greg Ormont told the crowd before the final song of the set. The foursome capped their visit to World Cafe with the beloved “Dawn A New Day.” Pigeons originally released the song as the second advance preview of 2020’s Presto. While truncated, the version still shows off the quartet’s propensity to jam.
