Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Share ‘King Kong’ Video Featuring Here Come The Mummies

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong shared video of their performance of “King Kong” with the Here Come the Mummies horns at the 2019 Summer Camp Music Festival. Directed by Jay Blakesberg, the video features PPPP both onstage and being overtaken by their mummified collaborators backstage at the festival in Chillicothe, Illinois.
Members of Summer Camp hosts moe. – guitarist Al Schnier and drummer Vinnie Amico – make cameos in the “King Kong” video. Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe guitarist DJ Williams also appears in the offstage footage.
“I remember sharing a laugh over our collective stank face when we first laid down this punchy groove at band practice,” PPPP guitarist Greg Ormont told Rolling Stone. “We quickly fleshed out some parts and gave it a metaphorical exclamation point when we screamed ‘King Kong’ to match our intense energy.”
