Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds headlined Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday, where the band also backed opener Ryan Montbleau. Ryan & The Dirty Birds were joined by American Idol 11 finalist Elise Testone on vocals for a set that mixed Montbleau originals with choice covers including The Black Crowes’ “Good Friday” and “I’m A Ram” by Al Green. Montbleau later sat in with Sister Sparrow on a cover of Tom Petty’s “You Don’t Know How It Feels” that featured a jam on Hendrix’s “Who Knows.” Other Sister Sparrow guests included Art Baron, Ryan Snow, JJ Byars and Bob Lanzetti of Snarky Puppy.
