Pigeons Playing Ping Pong :: 4.14.16 :: Higher Ground :: Burlington, VT

If you weren’t a member of the Flock before this show, you sure are now.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong delivered an insane show last Thursday night that kept everyone non-stop grooving for the two-sets they were on stage. This was the first time for the band to perform at Higher Ground in Burlington, Vermont. And it wasn’t a disappointment. PPPP, originally from Baltimore, have definitely found a funky following here in the land of Green Mountains and heady brews.

New and old followers of this contagious funk band showed up to join guitarists Greg Ormont and Jeremy Schon, drummer Alex Petropulos and bassist Ben Carrey for their sold-out performance. The guys performed some PPPP classics like “F.U.” and “Melting Lights.” Even though the band released their new album Pleasure a few weeks ago, the crowd was already familiar.

The Magic Beans, all the way from Colorado, joined PPPP for this show in Burlington and Casey Russell joined the band on keys for an impressive performance of “F.U.”

Catch Pigeons Playing Ping Pong as they continue their high-energy, funkadelic tour in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Jefferson Theater on Wednesday, April 20.
