River Revival :: 5.8.14 :: Terminal West :: Atlanta, GA

Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (CRK) and friends celebrated the nonprofit’s dedication to the environment during a special re-invention of its River Revival on May 8.

For the first time, the concert took place at West Midtown’s Terminal West venue in Atlanta, and it engaged a younger eco-minded crowd. Last year, the event went on hiatus after many years at Park Tavern.

For the price of $25, CRK treated attendees to three popular bands: The New Mastersounds, Jeff Austin and Turkuaz. The organization also hosted a raffle with four prizes, including a kayak and a beer-tasting at Ormsby’s.

In addition to the live bands, CRK honored two organizations with River Rock Star awards. GreenHouse Foundation, founded by CeeLo Green and his sister, Shedonna Alexander, and IS Foundation, founded by actor Ian Somerhalder, were both honored.

Proceeds from the event, including the raffle, will be funneled back into CRK’s programs to protect and advocate for the Chattahoochee River.
