UPDATE 6/30 7:45 a.m. PT: Phish has revealed that they will put a 2-LP deluxe vinyl edition of their 1992 major label debut, A Picture Of Nectar, up for sale at The Freezer during the group’s upcoming Randall’s Island shows. The LE Deluxe 2-LP vinyl set is limited to 7,500 individually numbered copies; 2,500 of which will be available at Randall’s (the remaining quantities will be available in stores at at Phish Dry Goods at a later date, so fans at Randall’s will get the first crack at the release months in advance). Each LP, which have been mastered by Chris Bellman, is pressed onto 180g audiophile grade vinyl and includes a free MP3 download of the album (transferred from the vinyl master). This marks the first time A Picture Of Nectar will be available on vinyl.

Phish will play their first-ever shows at Randall’s Island in New York City on July 11 -13. This afternoon, the band announced more details for the three-night run including the return of “The Freezer.”

The hilarious info page features word that The Freezer will play host to the JEMP Records Store on Randall’s Island. Here’s more details:

It’s that time again to open the doors to The Freezer, an official Phish Archive merch store, at Randall’s Island. The Freezer will feature a number of shirts, hard goods, posters and other items from Phish’s past, available for purchase. All are original items from the band’s collection, and not reprints. They include items from 1996-2002 and are extremely limited (we’re talking 4-5 of each style). The WaterWheel Foundation will be the recipient of a percentage of all sales in The Freezer. You may remember how fast the Freezer thawed at Bader Field two years ago.

Everything in The Freezer has been archivally stored and preserved. In addition to Ts, we’ll be offering a very limited number of rare posters from the Phish Archives (again, all part of their original runs; NOT reprints), including classic Jim Pollock posters. These posters will be available in very limited quantities and we’re expecting them to go fast.

As if that wasn’t enough, this year, we’re happy to announce that The Freezer will play host to the JEMP Records Store, on site at Randall’s Island. On Friday & Saturday, JEMP Records will be unleashing a new Phish vinyl release to the public, exclusively at Randall’s Island. We’ll announce details shortly!

We’re excited to see what this “new Phish vinyl release” is all about. We also suggest taking note of some of the prohibited items which include No more drama, No more lonely nights, No more I love you’s, No reply at all, No sleep till Brooklyn, No woman no cry and No diggity.
