Phish‘s 2023 Summer Tour now includes two benefit concerts at the Broadview Stage at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in Saratoga Springs, New York on August 25 – 26. Proceeds from the SPAC shows will go toward flood recovery efforts in the band’s native Vermont and in Upstate New York.

Historic rainfall this month in Vermont and New York caused devastating flooding in the surrounding region. Thousands of homes and businesses in the area were destroyed or damaged as a result of the heavy rains.

“Make no mistake, the devastation and flooding we’re experiencing across Vermont is historic and catastrophic,” Vermont Governor Phil Scott recently stated.

A brief ticket lottery for Phish at SPAC is currently underway and open through tomorrow, Wednesday, July 26 at 12 p.m. ET. Travel packages go on sale on Friday, July 28 at 9 a.m. ET. General tickets go on sale this Saturday, July 29 at 10 a.m. ET.

A select allotment of Foundation Tickets will also be offered that include entrance to the the show, as well as:

“[A] private pre-show performance with Phish’s Trey Anastasio and Page McConnell, access to the Foundation Lounge before and throughout the show, and special Foundation poster and merch, in addition to other amenities.

100% of net proceeds from all concert and merchandise sales will be directed to The WaterWheel Foundation’s 2023 Flood Recovery Fund, which will support the many victims and their families, area businesses, and non-profits. The Recovery Fund will support both shorter-term needs and long-term recovery and resiliency projects.

Cash or Trade recently launched a Vermont Flood Relief Fundraiser. Enter to win a variety of prizes with proceeds also going to The WaterWheel Foundation’s 2023 Flood Recovery Fund. One Grand Prize Winner, “Will receive two (2) tickets to a Phish show of their choice in 2023 [including SPAC] and hotel night stay in the area, along with a one-year CashorTrade Gold Membership and a CoT Merch Package containing a shirt, koozie, and stickers.”

SPAC is located a mere 30 miles from Vermont. The band made their debut at the venue on July 27, 1992 opening for Santana. Phish moved up to headliner status when they returned to the shed on July 10, 1994. SPAC hosted the quartet again on June 26, 1995. Nine years passed until the next Phish shows at the venue on June 19 and 20, 2004.

The 25,103-capacity space within Saratoga Spa State Park was a regular stop for the group from 2009 through 2016. However, only two Phish concerts took place at SPAC since 2016, a trend the band will remedy next month. The August performances will be the 23rd and 24th Phish shows at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

On Saturday, August 26, the Travers Stakes race will take place at the nearby Saratoga Race Course. The Grade I Thoroughbred horse race dates back to 1864 and is right below the Triple Crown (Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Belmont Stakes) in terms of prestige and the purse awarded to its winner. Lodging in the area was already at a premium before today’s announcement.

Additionally, Cash or Trade recently launched a Vermont Flood Relief Fundraiser with proceeds also going to The WaterWheel Foundation’s 2023 Flood Recovery Fund. One Grand Prize Winner, “Will receive two (2) tickets to a Phish show of their choice in 2023 and hotel night stay in the area, along with a one-year CashorTrade Gold Membership and a CoT Merch Package containing a shirt, koozie, and stickers.” Enter CoT’s Vermont Flood Relief Fundraiser here.
