Phish shared pro-shot video of “Meatstick” and “It’s Ice.” The footage is from Wednesday, August 2 during the band’s recent seven-night residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Phish debuted “Meatstick” on June 25, 1997 in Lille, France. “It’s Ice” dates back to September 25, 1991 in Keene, New Hampshire, a show that saw four new song debuts along with “Brother,” “Sparkle” and “All Things Reconsidered.”

The band’s first set pairing of “Meatstick” and “It’s Ice” on night five of seven at MSG last Wednesday boasted two top-notch transitions. Keyboardist Page McConnell led the way into “Meatstick” from the “Energy” jam, manning his Yamaha synth to drop the band into the funky tune. The segue from “Meatstick” to “It’s Ice” was longer, with guitarist Trey Anastasio slowly and expertly working in the song’s main motif.
