Phish Radio Premieres New Jon Fishman ‘The Errant Path’ Episode Tonight

A new episode of Phish drummer Jon Fishman‘s “The Errant Path” program premieres tonight (Wednesday, July 24) at 7 p.m. ET on SiriusXM’s Phish Radio (Channel 29). Fish has dubbed the episode “All The Hits!” and replays are scheduled for Saturday, July 27 at 10 a.m. ET, Sunday, July 28 at 1 a.m. ET and Tuesday, July 30 at 7 a.m. ET.

SiriusXM’s Ari Fink provided a little taste of what Fish has in store for this week’s episode. His first two segments feature songs by The Four Aces, Four Deuces, The Four Buddies, The Four Blazes and The Four Seasons. Then, the Syracuse native spins tracks by The Five Keys, The Fifth Estate and The “5” Royales.

After that, anything’s fair game and the drummer has been known to throw in “Story Time With Fish” segments in many episodes, which contain extended tales from his various adventures and feature sets of musical stories told through an instrument. For instance, last week Fishman documented the history of the pedal steel guitar over the course of a 30-minute segment of music that included songs from across many genres that first utilized the instrument.
