Back in 2004, the now defunct cable television network Trio premiered an episode of its original program Parking Lot which was filmed at a Phish concert. For this week’s Sunday Cinema, here’s a look back at the footage filmed at the Phish concert held at the Spectrum in Philadelphia in February 2003.

The eight-episode Parking Lot series was developed by Jeff Krulik who created the infamous Heavy Metal Parking Lot documentary recorded nearly 30 years ago at a Judas Priest with Dokken concert in May 1986 at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland. Journalist Dave McKenna recently profiled the making of the documentary that lead to the cable series in an article for Deadspin.

Besides Phish, parking lot scenes for bands showcased on Parking Lot included Motörhead, Neil Diamond, Yanni, Dolly Parton and others. The Phish segment featuring interviews with fans at the band’s February 25, 2003 at the since demolished arena was shown in an episode alongside footage from San Diego surfer parking lots and a Dollywood Parade. Watch the now 13-year-old clip from the Spectrum here:

As a Sunday Cinema bonus, here’s the original Heavy Metal Parking Lot to see where the concept got its start:
