Phish Hint At Upcoming Live Vinyl Release

Back on Friday Phish shared a photo hinting at a future vinyl release of a live concert. Once the hint dropped, intrepid Phish fans started an attempt to figure out what the release would hold and it appears they’ve done just that.

Reddit’s jdon1218 came across a listing for “2015RSD -New Year’s Eve 1995 (6LP) Madison Square Garden” on the website for independent distributor F.A.B. Distribution. The listing seems to indicate what many on Twitter and beyond had been guessing -that Phish will release their famed December 31, 1995 show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on vinyl this Record Store Day (April 18). Phish originally released New Year’s Eve 1995 – Live at Madison Square Garden in 2005, but it’s never been shared on vinyl in the past.

The Vermonters’ epic New Year’s show from 1995 included stellar versions of “Reba,” “Drowned,” “Mike’s Song,” “Weekapaug Groove” and of course “You Enjoy Myself.” The listing aligns with the graphic Phish shared as “You Enjoy Myself” would indeed fit on the sixth LP of a 6-LP set which is what F.A.B. Distribution indicates is on its way.
