This year marks 25 years since Phish’s historic Fall Tour 1995. In recognition of that noteworthy tour and to make up for the lack of shows this fall, JamBase presents a daily retrospective highlighting a noteworthy moment from a Phish fall tour concert that took place on that date over the past 25 years. The 25 Years Of Phish Fall Tour series runs each day between the start of Phish Fall Tour 1995 on September 27 through that tour’s finale on December 17.
While Phish’s Fall Tour 1995 was historically significant in the band’s development, their Fall Tour 1997 remains the most well-known of their career. Three years ago, to mark the 20th anniversary of Phish’s Fall Tour 1997, JamBase teamed with The Mockingbird Foundation to celebrate the historic run by sharing an essay on the date of each of the 21 shows played between November 13, 1997 and December 13, 1997.
For the 25 Years Of Phish Fall Tour series, we’re devoting November 13 to all of Fall Tour ‘97 and the rest of the tour will essentially be off-limits for the remainder of the series. Instead, we’ll share links to the previously published essays on the corresponding dates those shows took place 23 years ago, and will focus on other fall tours from the past 25 years as the series continues.
