Tuesday was Election Day in Lincolnville, the Maine town where Phish drummer Jon Fishman resides. Fishman was among three candidates vying for two spots on the Lincolnville Board Of Selectmen and wound up winning one of those two slots as per the Bangor Daily News.

The drummer scored 356 votes which was less than Josh Gerritsen’s 370 but more than the 227 votes received by Sandy Delano. Fishman was a vocal and active supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign for U.S. President. He was inspired by the experience to run for local office. The Bangor Daily News cites unofficial results released by Lincolnville on Tuesday night.

Phish returns to the road one month from today to kick off Summer Tour in Chicago.
