Phil Lesh is joined in “The Q” by guitarists Warren Haynes (Gov’t Mule) and Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic), drummer John Molo (Moonalice) and keyboardist Rob Barraco (Dark Star Orchestra). The members of the Phil Lesh Quintet first took the stage together at The Beacon Theatre in New York City on April 18, 2000, when Haynes sat-in with Lesh, Molo, Herring, Barraco and guitarist Jeff Pevar for the entire second set.
“The Q” then hit the road in the fall of 2000 and served as Phil’s main project until The Dead reconvened in 2003. Sporadic “The Q” reunions have happened a handful of times since with the most recent held as part of Lesh’s October 2021 birthday concerts (delayed due to the pandemic) at The Capitol Theatre in October of 2021.
Phil Lesh’s “Friends” for March 13, 15 and 16 have not been announced. As Relix pointed out, The Capitol Theatre has hosted over 100 Phil Lesh concerts since reopening in 2012.
