Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh played Terrapin Crossroads’ Grate Room on Sunday night in San Rafael, California. Phil’s band also featured guitarists Jackie Greene and Stu Allen, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and drummer Jay Lane.

The quintet opened with a “Playing In The Band” they jammed into “Bertha.” Stu then led the group through “Doin’ That Rag” before Jackie belted out “Sugaree.” Next, Allen handled lead vocals on “Reuben & Cerise.” The ensemble went on to follow “Help On The Way” and “Slipknot!” with the pairing of “China Sun Sunflower” and “I Know You Rider.” A stellar “So Many Roads” came next and featured Jackie on lead vocals and a standout solo from Stu. Phil and his friends ended the show with the “Franklin’s Tower” that was left hanging earlier in the evening.
