Phil Lesh & Friends To Play Central Park Show

New York City area Deadheads are continuing to benefit from Relix publisher/impresario Peter Shapiro’s deal with Phil Lesh. Lesh will play Rumsey Playfield in NYC’s Central Park on May 28 with a version of his Phil Lesh & Friends project that finds him joined by John Scofield, John Medeski, Joe Russo and Warren Haynes.

Phil last played Central Park in November for a surprise set at Shapiro’s Jazz & Colors event. Lesh just concluded a two-night stand at the Brooklyn Academy of Music featuring much of the same band he’ll play with in Central Park. Tickets for the Phil & Friends show in Central Park go on sale Friday, April 25 at noon ET via the Capitol Theatre website.
