Phil Lesh & Friends Added To Lockn Festival Lineup

Hot on the heels of Wednesday’s announcement that Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters will play this year’s Lockn’ Festival, comes word that Phil Lesh & Friends and St. Paul and the Broken Bones have also been added to a lineup that already included the likes of Widespread Panic, The String Cheese Incident and The Tedeschi Trucks Band.

Lesh has performed at each of the previous two installments of Lockn’. Phil & Friends will play two nights at the Virginia festival. There’s no word yet on which musicians will join Phil at The Farm this September. As for St. Paul and the Broken Bones, the band will make their Lockn’ debut this fall.

In additional Phil-related news, Lesh has rounded up a group of musicians that includes Stu Allen, Scott Law, Ross James, Jason Crosby, Alex Koford and Cody Dickinson to honor the years 1969 (tonight) and 1970 (tomorrow) of Grateful Dead at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California over the next two nights. While tickets sold out quickly, Terrapin Crossroads is offering webcasts of both performances.
