On June 29, 2019, famed musician Alison Krauss sat-in with Phil Lesh & Friends at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Missouri near St. Louis. Krauss and P&F were both on hand for performances as part of Willie Nelson‘s Outlaw Festival.
Alison Krauss emerged at two separate points of Phil & Friends’ set. Krauss first joined the band for “To Lay Me Down” before returning to handle lead vocals on “Morning Dew” later in the evening. Phil Lesh’s band for the night featured guitarists Stu Allen and Ross James, multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby and drummer John Molo.
