At the end of June, DeShawn Alexander announced that he would step down as the keyboardist for The Marcus King Band in order to focus on his other musical projects. While a permanent replacement has yet to be announced, Peter Levin will join the up-and-coming Southern rock act during the upcoming leg of their Summer Tour 2019.

Levin will step into the role as temporary keyboardist for The Marcus King Band tonight, during the band’s Dead & Company aftershow in Boulder, Colorado. The former Gregg Allman Band player will continue with King and company to California’s High Sierra Music Festival on Sunday, July 7. The Blind Boys of Alabama collaborator will also help open for Chris Stapleton on July 9 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
