Paul Simon Visits Sesame Street In 1977

Today marks Paul Simon‘s 74th birthday as the legendary singer-songwriter was born October 13, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey. Paul formed Tom & Jerry with his schoolmate Art Garfunkel in 1957. The pair went on to change their name to Simon & Garfunkel and became one of most popular recording acts of the ’60s. Simon parted ways with Garfunkel in 1970 to embark on an incredibly successful solo career.
In 1977 Paul Simon visited the PBS children’s show Sesame Street. Simon teamed up with an incredibly cute little girl for a performance of “Me & Julio Down By The Schoolyard.” The youngster steals the show as she freestyles over Paul’s tune. Watch how it went down:
