Paul Simon Appears On ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

Paul Simon was a guest on Monday’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The legendary musician performed a song from his 2018 album In The Blue Light and sat for an interview with the program’s host, Stephen Colbert.

Simon and Colbert discussed Simon’s recent “farewell” tour. The 77-year-old singer-songwriter explained he may still perform concerts but will donate proceeds to charity. Simon also talked about In The Blue Light, which was made up of new arrangements of previously released songs. Simon was backed by longtime collaborator Mark Stewart on guitar and recent regular collaborators yMusic on a performance of the album track “Rene & Georgette Magritte With Their Dog After The War.” The Late Show posted a web exclusive video of Simon, Stewart and the show’s house band Jon Batiste and Stay Human performing the fellow album cut “One Man’s Ceiling Is Another Man’s Floor.” Watch the interview and live performances below:
