Paul Simon Guests With U2 At Madison Square Garden

Irish rockers U2 continued an eight-show run at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday. The band was joined by famed singer-songwriter Paul Simon for a portion of their encore at The Garden. NYC product Paul Simon emerged during the encore of help Bono and the gang with his own “Mother & Child Reunion.” The show also featured the first U2 cover of Lou Reed’s “Satellite Of Love” since December 10, 1993. Bono shouted out Reed’s widow Laurie Anderson who was in the crowd. The singer also shouted out and welcomed to the stage the woman who called 911 when Bono had his bike accident in New York City.
