Over the last few months legendary rocker Paul McCartney has been giving hints about what’s included on his new album, but we hadn’t heard any of the music from the LP…until late last night. Macca has shared the title track from the album, which is titled New, and announced that it will be released on October 15 here in the U.S. and October 14 elsewhere.

McCartney enlisted four producers including Paul Epworth, Ethan Johns and Mark Ronson to work on the album, which contains 12 tracks and is his first new LP of original tracks since 2007. The “new” single was produced by Ronson. “Mark’s work with Amy [Winehouse] was sensational, so I knew he’d be good. He knows his music, he knows what he likes and the two of us together took the song and tried to put the maximum vibe into it,” McCartney told

. “We had a lot of fun. He brought expertise, energy, enthusiasm and the odd laugh or two.”

With that, let’s take a listen to the Beatles-esque (“Got To Get You Into My Life” meets “All You Need Is Love”) track:
