Oteil & Friends Extend New Year’s Run

Last month bassist Oteil Burbridge announced a New Year’s Run featuring his Oteil & Friends project. Today, a pair of shows have been added as have a few special guests.

The run will now start at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on December 27. Burbridge then brings his band to Philadelphia’s Tower Theater on December 28 to open for Gov’t Mule. The two dates confirmed today come in addition to previously announced performances at The Cap on December 29 and at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on December 30 and New Year’s Eve.

Oteil’s lineup for the five-show run will feature guitarists Eric Krasno and John Kadlecik, keyboardist Melvin Seals, drummer Jay Lane, trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick and percussionist Weedie Braimah. Burbridge also revealed today Natalie Cressman will join the band at Brooklyn Bowl on December 30 and 31. In addition, artist Johnathan Singer will provide visuals for the New York dates.

Tickets for the second show at The Cap (12/27) go on sale this Friday, September 21 at 12 p.m. ET via Ticketfly. A pre-sale using the password “OBNY” will begin on Thursday, September 20 at 10 a.m. ET. Tickets for the Tower Theater show go up for grabs on Friday, September 28.
