The 19th annual Nederland Music & Arts Festival will be held August 25 – 27 in Nederland, Colorado. Organizers of NedFest have started to roll out this year’s lineup by announcing a super jam led by Dead & Company/Allman Brothers Band bassist Oteil Burbridge.
“Oteil’s Birthday Bash” will find the Grammy-winning bassist leading a group that includes his amazing multi-instrumentalist brother Kofi Burbridge of the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jerry Garcia Band keyboardist Melvin Seals, John Kadlecik of Furthur and Ian Neville of Dumpstaphunk on guitar, RatDog/Electric Beethoven drummer Jay Lane and percussionist Weedie Braimah. In addition, the group will be joined by vocalists Lyle Divinsky of The Motet and Alfreda Gerald as well as a horn section of the Trey Anastasio Band’s Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman.
