Orgōne announced a new album, Connection, set for release September 25 via their newly minted 3 Palm Records. The Los Angeles-based funk and soul outfit also shared the single, “The Way.”

While “The Way” is the first official single from the album, the band shared the record’s opening track, “The Vice Yard,” earlier this year. Connection also features a number of special guests including Cyril Neville, Pimps Of Joytime, Kelly Finnigan, Jesse Wagner and Black Shakespeare.

Connection follows Orgone’s 2019 album, Reasons. But Orgone guitarist Sergio Rios said that the LP was more akin to their 2008 release, Bacano, in speaking with Live For Live Music, who premiered “The Way.”

Connection is the spiritual follow up to our [2008] album Bacano. It’s meat and potatoes Orgone: soul, funk, gritty, lean and tight. The main theme is all about connection: the invisible threads that bind all of us artistically, spiritually, and emotionally. It’s about plugging in and tuning in.”

“The Way” arrived with an accompanying music video. Watch it below:
