Opening Night | Van Halen Switches Up Setlist For Latest Tour

The band had many changes in store for the setlist to last night’s tour opener as opposed to the one they favored on their last tour with David Lee Roth. Van Halen kicked off the show with the first live version of “Light Up The Sky” since since June 24, 1980 -a span of over 35 years. The evening’s other bust outs were “Feel Your Love Tonight” (last played October 30, 1998) and “In A Simple Rhyme” (last played with Growth ending February 8, 1978). Those weren’t the only surprises in store as the band also offered live debuts of two songs -“Drop Dead Legs” off 1984 and Fair Warning’s “Dirty Movies.” Beyond that, there were plenty of the group’s most beloved songs played in Auburn including “Runnin’ With The Devil,” “Jump,” “Panama,” “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” and “Hot For Teacher.”
Van Halen continues the tour tomorrow night in Ridgefield, Washington.
