Last night Smashing Pumpkins welcomed founding drummer Jimmy Chamberlin back into the fold as the group began The End Times co-headlining tour with Marilyn Manson at Concord Pavilion in Concord, California.

Chamberlin last performed with Billy Corgan & Co. in 2008. Tuesday’s show also marked the debut of new Smashing Pumpkins bassist Jack Bates. The group’s 18-song setlist was decidedly old school with the band pulling five songs off Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and four off Siamese Dream including the “Cherub Rock” opener.

Smashing Pumpkins dusted off “The Everlasting Gaze” for the first time since 2012 and “Thru The Eyes Of Ruby” for the first time since 2011. The set also included a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” and a “Today” encore. Next up for Smashing Pumpkins and Manson is a show in Irvine, California tomorrow night.
