Olivia Rodrigo & The Cure’s Robert Smith Debut Unreleased Collaboration At Primavera Sound

Olivia Rodrigo and The Cure's Robert Smith came together to deliver the live premiere of their collaborative song, “what’s wrong with me,” on Saturday. The pair unveiled the new tune at Primavera Sound in Barcelona a week before the track is slated for release.

Rodrigo kicked off her surprise festival set with “bad idea right?” off her 2023 album GUTS. She also included additional hits such as “vampire,” “driver’s license” and “good 4 u.” Following a fitting performance of her latest single “the cure,” Rodrigo welcomed Robert Smith for “what’s wrong with me.”

The 23-year-old pop star and 67-year-old post-punk pioneer teamed up at Primavera following their collaboration at Glastonbury in 2025, where Smith joined Rodrigo to perform The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven” and “Friday I’m in Love.”

The duo reunited on Saturday in Barcelona, this time to unveil their collaborative track “what’s wrong with me.” The song is set for release on June 12 when Rodrigo’s new album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love arrives.

As Olivia noted in her introduction of “what’s wrong with me” at Primavera, the track marks her first song with a featured artist. She and her band kicked off the premiere, with Smith — who was on hand at Primavera to perform with The Cure — emerging for the duet.
