Okkervil River Performs Live At KEXP

Austin rockers Okkervil River performed at the studios of KEXP on June 5. Today, the Seattle-based radio station unveiled footage of the band’s four-song set.
Okkervil River focused on material from the recently-released studio album In The Rainbow Rain. Mastermind Will Sheff is joined by bassist Benjamin Lazar Davis guitarist Will Graefe, percussionist Cully Symington and keyboardist Sarah Pedinotti for the KEXP set. The quintet rolled through “Famous Tracheotomies” and “Don’t Move Back To L.A.” before Sheff talked to host Cheryl Waters about the stories behind each song. Okkervil River went on to conclude the set with performances of “Pulled Up The Ribbon” and “The Dream & The Light.”
