New Orleans rockers The Revivalists recently unveiled the official video for “Wish I Knew You” off their latest studio album Men Amongst Mountains. In the clip below, we see The Revivalists performing at what appears to be a high school reunion for the Class Of ’65 as the video offers just one interpretation of the song’s captivating lyrics.

“This was one of the first songs I had ever written where I started with the beat first,” frontman David Shaw explained to Interview Magazine about the genesis of “Wish I Knew You.” Shaw added, “I had been playing around with the chord progression for a while and I just started jamming on it and scatting melodies over it. Once I had the gist of how I wanted the first verse and the chorus to go, lyrically and melodically, I brought it to the band and we fleshed it out together.”

The Revivalists are currently in Colorado, where they perform in Boulder tonight, Denver tomorrow and Aspen on Saturday before heading to the Pacific Northwest.
