One of the highlights of the final day of this year’s Lockn’ Festival at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia was Warren Haynes‘ appearance with Widespread Panic. The Georgia rockers have just unveiled professionally-shot video featuring part of the Gov’t Mule frontman’s guest spot.
Warren Haynes has sat-in with Panic dozens of times dating back to a July 21, 1991 appearance in Telluride. While most of Haynes’ guest spots have featured classic rock covers, at Sunday of Lockn’ the guitarist helped out on Widespread original “Ribs & Whiskey” as well as a cover of Willie Dixon’s “Taildragger.” Coming into the set those weren’t two likely candidates for collaborations, but they worked extremely well.
