Official Audio: Gov’t Mule Shares ‘Fire & Water’ Free Cover From Halloween 2017

Gov’t Mule’s first European Mule-O-Ween concert was held on October 31 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The concert featured a second half devoted to the music of Free, and Mule has shared a soundboard recording of one of the songs by the classic rock band that they covered that night at Paradiso.

Guitarist Warren Haynes led drummer Matt Abts, multi-instrumentalist Danny Louis and bassist Jorgen Carlsson through a second set opening take on Free’s “Fire & Water.” It marked the first time Mule had covered the title track to the 1970 Free album that included the British group’s hit “All Right Now” (which Mule also debuted on Halloween).
